The Florida Realtors / Florida Bar (FAR/BAR) residential contract specifies exact operational guidelines for counting deadline days under Standard F (Time):
The count begins on the day after the contract is executed and delivered. For example, if the contract was signed on a Monday, Day 1 is Tuesday.
All periods (unless explicitly specified otherwise in writing) are calculated as consecutive calendar days, including Saturdays and Sundays.
If any deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a national legal holiday, the deadline is automatically extended to 5:00 PM local time on the next business day.
Any performance deadline that expires on a business day must be met before 5:00 PM local time in the county where the property is located.
